Intro to Practical Inversions

Welcome to "Practical Inversions for Jazz Guitar" Camp!

I’m thrilled to have you join us for this week-long deep dive into how legendary jazz guitarists like Wes Montgomery, Lenny Breau, Ed Bickert, Jim Hall, and Joe Pass used their own unique versions of chord inversions to create color, extensions, and richness in their playing.

Throughout this camp, you’ll be learning how to take simple chords and make them sound fresh and dynamic—from rootless chords to 4th voicings, triads, extended chords, and beyond.

These techniques will enhance your comping, chord melody, and soloing, helping you create a fuller, more expressive sound just like the jazz guitar legends.

What to expect:

  • 7 hours of live video workshops with daily interactions.
  • 17 PDFs full of exercises to solidify your learning.
  • 10 jazz standard jams with me, breaking down each tune with the techniques you’re learning.
  • Interactive backing tracks to practice your new skills.
  • Lifetime access to replays and all course materials.

All course materials—PDFs and audio—will be posted by June 1st, 2025, so you’ll have everything you need well before the camp begins.

I’m excited to help you explore these jazz guitar techniques and add new layers of depth to your playing.

Get ready for a week of discovery, and I can’t wait to see how you grow as a player.

Thanks again for signing up, and I’ll see you soon!
